Syklo has started operations at a €70–80 million circular-economy hub in Hyvinkää, Finland, combining large-scale plastics recycling with industrial production of cellulose-fibre biocomposites.
The complex officially opened on 9 September 2026, according to Syklo’s company announcement. The plastics recycling plant can process 50,000 tonnes of waste annually, material that the company said would otherwise be incinerated or landfilled.
The site produces Sykloplast post-consumer recycled plastic pellets for industrial processing. Syklo positions the material for technical applications including automotive, packaging and electronics and as an alternative to some glass-fibre reinforced and engineering-plastic materials.
Syklo said the recycling plant alone increases Finland’s plastics recycling capacity by 50%. The Hyvinkää investment represents the start of operations at the complete hub rather than the announcement of a future project.
