Celanese will raise prices for polyoxymethylene in Europe by €300/t from 8 October 2026, according to its 24 September announcement.
The increase applies to Hostaform®, Celcon®, Amcel® and Kepital® POM products supplied into EMEA. Celanese also announced a $0.30/kg increase for POM in Asia, while no increase was listed for the Americas.
The measures will apply to shipments on or after 8 October, or as contracts otherwise allow. Celanese said individual grades could be subject to larger increases.
The company attributed the increases to recent market developments and global supply-chain disruptions. The announcement also included a $0.30/kg Asian increase for its GUR® ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene products.
