The indicator shows a relatively unchanged consumer confidence in the EU, with a minor decline of 0.2 percentage points from December 2023, resulting in a -16.2 point measure.
Conversely, the euro area experienced a more significant reduction, with the indicator falling by 1.0 percentage point, leading to a -16.1 point measure.
Both values underscore a continued consumer caution, significantly trailing behind the usual average.
