Trinseo announces European price drop. Trinseo in conjunction with its European subsidiaries, has announced a significant price decrease for its entire lineup of polystyrene (PS), Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), and Styrene Acrylonitrile (SAN) grades.
This change will take effect from July 1, 2023, or as dictated by existing contractual agreements.
Trinseo’s general purpose polystyrene grades (GPPS), high impact polystyrene grades (HIPS), ABS resins, and SAN resins are all set for a price reduction of €65 per metric ton.
This price cut follows a decline in raw material costs experienced in July.
Moreover, the polymer industry continues to face challenges, with persistently subdued demand, a situation which has been ongoing for months.
Polystyrene (PS), Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), and Styrene Acrylonitrile (SAN) are all versatile thermoplastics with diverse applications in packaging, consumer goods, and various industrial products.
