GPPS, genearl purpose polystyerene, is a type of polystyrene plastic commonly used in insulation and packaging.
HIPS, or high-impact polystyrene, is commonly used in packaging, toys, and appliances.
INEOS Styrolution is a global company that produces styrenic polymers, including GPPS and HIPS, for industries such as automotive, electronics, and packaging.
The announcement follows an increase of the styrene monomer contract price in May of €55/MT to €1511/MT.
