EU PMMA imports decline. The EU’s PMMA imports fell in January 2023, according to recent data from Eurostat.
PMMA is commonly used in auto parts, signs, and lighting fixtures. The EU is a major importer of PMMA, with many countries relying on the bloc.
The imports totaled 3,199 MT (metric tonnes), down by 1,230 MT compared to January 2022. This decrease can be attributed to several factors but mainly to a slowdown in demand.
Meanwhile, PMMA exports from the EU totaled 756 MT in January 2023. This was a decrease of only 3 MT from the same period last year.
