Biesterfeld appoints new CEO. Biesterfeld Group welcomes Dr Stephan Glander (54) as their new CEO, overseeing a leading global distributor of plastics, rubbers, and specialty chemicals.
Glander expresses appreciation for the trust shown by the Biesterfeld family and Supervisory Board and looks forward to taking on the challenges and responsibilities of his new position.
Dirk J. Biesterfeld, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, wishes Glander the best, highlighting his extensive experience and alignment with the company’s values.
Before joining Biesterfeld, Glander was CEO of BYK, an Altana Group subsidiary specializing in chemical supplies, and held leadership roles at Röchling, Quadrant, and Bayer AG.
As the strategic holding company for the Biesterfeld Group, Hamburg-based Biesterfeld AG employs over 1,000 individuals across 50 locations, with annual revenues reaching €1.4 billion.
