INVISTA appoints new CEO. The company has announced the appointment of Francis Murphy as its new President and CEO, effective immediately.
Murphy joins INVISTA after its acquisition of Flint Hills Resources’ propylene business in 2022.
Having worked with FHR, an affiliate of INVISTA, for over 30 years, Murphy brings a wealth of leadership experience in various businesses, including olefins, aromatics, polymer, base oil, and light products.
“As president and CEO of INVISTA, I look forward to working with our global employees and partners as we continue to innovate in the nylon 6,6 and propylene value chains,” said Murphy. “We are excited about the tremendous opportunities ahead for our business.”
Murphy takes over from Jeff Gentry, who recently retired after serving INVISTA and Koch companies for nearly four decades.
INVISTA is a global company that specializes in the production of a wide range of advanced materials and fibers, including nylon.
The company was formerly a subsidiary of DuPont, but was acquired by Koch Industries in 2004.
