
Eurozone inflation falls slightly. Eurozone annual inflation rate fell to 8.5% in February from 8.6% in January, according to a flash estimate from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.
Food, alcohol & tobacco had the highest annual rate at 15.0% in February compared to 14.1% in January.
Energy inflation declined to 13.7% from 18.9% in January.
Non-energy industrial goods increased slightly to 6.8% from 6.7% in January.
Meanwhile, services inflation rose to 4.8% from 4.4% in January.
All-items HICP (Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices) inflation is a measure of the overall change in the price level of goods and services in the Euro area.
