Shipping costs decreased again in November to reach pre-pandemic levels, most likely due to low demand. However, many players continue to face long lead times.

Freight rates reached close to $20000 after the pandemic caused changes in spending patterns which fuelled supply chain disruptions.

However, in the past few months rates went into reverse likely due to the slowdown in global demand.

Prices for containers from Asia, according to polymer buyers, have now reached pre-pandemic levels, namely below $5000.

Nonetheless, while costs of trasport eased some of the pressure on European buyes, many complain about persistent long lead times.
