Market participants expect PA6 prices to slump in November after the a persistent poor demand and lower costs.
The fall in gas prices gives incentives to buyers to revert the energy surcharges imposed by producers in the past few months.
Gas futures plummeted since reaching a peak in August, from €340/MWh to the €113/MWh.
The lower gas values will place downward pressure also on prices of feedstocks.
Caprolactam, the main raw material for PA6, is also likely to post big decreases in November.
And in addition to the lower costs, seasonal trends and slowing macroeconomic activity will add further downside in the next few weeks.
