INEOS Styrolution starts new production of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) in Wingles, France, according to a recent press release.
The company said the new prodution has a capacity of 50,000 metric tonnes per year.
And that the additional capacity will serve to meet the growing demand of ABS in Europe.
The new capacity “also allows us to provide new ABS solutions to respond to developing customer demand across a broader portfolio”, said Dr. Alexander Glück, President EMEA.
The site is the third INEOS Styrolution’s ABS plant in Europe, alongside the ones in Antwerp, Belgium, and Cologne, Germany.
What is more, the site in Wingles will continue to produce polystirene (PS), according to the press note.
