EU industrial production stalls in November according to the latest data from Eurostat.
The figures show that in November 2021 compared to November 2020, industrial production remained unchanged.
The latest reading represents an ease in industrial production in the EU. Since March, the sector posted positive numbers, initially rebounding from the slump suffered during the onset of the pandemic.
After an initial strong rebound, however, the recovery has been slowing down. This likely to do with a lingering pandemic hitting consumer confidence and causing supply bottlenecks.
Moreover, the trend seen during the past year raises the chances of a negative reading for December.
