INEOS Styrolution targets price increases on polystyrene (PS) in January, according to a recent company note.
The company plans to increase prices on general purpose polystyrene by €160/mt in January versus December.
And a surcharge of €120/mt will apply on high impact polystyrene (HIPS).
PS prices in Europe found renewed support during the past few months from high raw materials and energy costs.
At the same time, accumulating production disruptions added a further strain on the market by tightening supply.
