BASF lifts force majeure (FM) on nylon 66 (PA66) compounds, according to a recent letter to clients.
The company said supply of precursors for PA66 compounds improved. In addition, its internal supplier ended the FM declaration that had been in place since April.
This overall improvement in supply allowed BASF to lift FM worldwide on PA66 compounds which had also been in place since April.
However, despite the move, as disruptions continue to impact value chains, buyers can expect to experience limited availability.
In fact, the letter mentioned that the company will still apply supply quotas in December.
