RADICI DECLARES FORCE MAJEURE ON PA66

July 12, 2021

Radici declares force majeure (FM) at the beginning of July 2021 on PA66 as a result of bad weather.

This event adds further pressure on an already tight nylon 66 (PA66) European market.

The company said that a heavy storm hit Novara, Italy, resulting in a power blackout at the plant.

In addition to PA66, included in the FM are the intermediary products: HMD, Adipic Acid, Nitric Acid, and AH-Salt.

This latest event reinforces the view that the PA66 market remains volatile and that supply could remain relatively tight in the second half of 2021.

PA66 is an engineering polymer, used extensively in the automotive industry.

RadiciGroup is an Italian company, producing a wide range of chemical intermediates, polyamide polymers, engineering plastics, synthetic fibres and nonwovens.
