DuPont increases resins prices in June, citing market conditions. The increases, effective from 1 June, will be on a selected number of productions, which include POM, PA, and PBT.
Nylon (PA) prices will increase €380/mt for reinforced and €460/mt for unreinforced grade.
Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) will increase €300/mt and Polyoxymethylene (POM) €250/mt.
Engineering resins prices in Europe continue to find support on the back of high costs, short supply, and strong demand. Production issues lately, especially on PBT and PA66, plunged the markets into crisis.
Buyers have relied on the spot market to fill the supply gap and had little options but to pay extremely high prices. Some PA66 offers reached above €5,000/mt.
