After a brief positive spell in September, numbers drop back down into negative territory.
EU car sales fall 7.8% in October in Europe according to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA).
The recent press note shows that new passengers car registrations decreased in October 2020 compared to October 2019.
The figures also showed that from January to October registrations decreased 26.8% versus last year.
The data in October show a reversal from September when numbers had turned positive for the first time this year.

However, the decreases are in line with market feedback in the polymer industry.
There was indeed a rally in demand in September and October. And to some extent this has continued in November.
However, since the beginning of the month, players have noted a slowdown in activity.
The polymer market expected this slowdown because of the lockdowns across Europe.
But this ease in demand is for now relatively mild compared to the first wave of the coronavirus.
