LONDON (GC-Intelligence) — Covestro announced force majeure on polycarbonate (PC) products from its plant in Italy.
The affected compounding plant is in the town of Filago, which is near the city of Bergamo, the most affected area from the COVID-19 outbreak in Italy.
The plant has capacity of 45,000 metric tons per year, producing more than 2,500 different products, according to information on the company website.
The unpredictable events of the COVID-19 pandemic makes it extremely difficult to estimate when operations will resume.
