LONDON (GC Intelligence) – INEOS Styrolution, the global styrenics supplier, announced that it will decrease general-purpose polystyrene (GPPS) from October to November by €50/mt.
The company also communicated on the same note published on its website that the surcharge for its high-impact polystyrene (HIPS) grades is €100/mt.
This announcement of a decrease is slightly bigger than Trinseo’s announcement for the same period, of a decrease of its PS of €45/mt.
The announcements follow a decrease of the styrene monomer contract price in November of €65/mt and falling spot prices.
Some of PS applications include packaging, containers, trays, yogurt containers, CD and DVD cases, and disposable cutlery.
