LONDON (GC Intelligence) — ALBIS, distributor and compounder of plastics, announced proposal to move manufacturing activities from Knutsford, Cheshire, in the UK, to Zülpich, Obernburg and Hamburg sites in Germany.

The transfer is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2020 and the proposal is subject to consultation with affected employees.

The brands affected according to the press release are ALTECH and ALCOM, which are understood to include the company’s compunds of nylon 6 (PA6) and nylon 66 (PA66) and polycarbonate (PC).
