Summary
Polyoxymethylene (POM) European quarterly prices were assessed as unchanged between Q4 and Q1. Demand slowed down at the end of 2018 and remained subdued at the start of 2019. Together with most other engineering plastics, POM was suffering from a weakening economic environment. Supply improved following the lower demand and pressure from imports from Asia, where the ongoing trade dispute continues to impact the Chinese economy.
